Presentation of the Andalusian Living Lab – October 3rd, 2024, Salón Caja Rural de Jaén, IFEJA (Jaén)
On October 3rd, the Caja Rural de Jaén Hall at IFEJA will host the official presentation of the Andalusian Living Lab, part of the European project LIVINGSOILL (Healthy Soil to Permanent Crops Living Labs). This Living Lab is focused on promoting sustainable technological solutions aimed at improving the health of olive grove soils in Andalusia, addressing key challenges such as drought mitigation, erosion prevention, pollution reduction, and enhancing biodiversity and soil structure.
Coordinated by the University of Jaén, the Andalusian Living Lab brings together more than 30 researchers, alongside farmers and companies in the olive oil sector, to form a multidisciplinary consortium. The initiative is supported by 15 Andalusian entities recognized for their R&D activities in olive farming, ensuring a collaborative approach to addressing soil health issues at local, national, and European levels.
