LivingSoiLL Joined the European Mission Soil Week 2025

The LivingSoiLL project proudly took part in the European Mission Soil Week 2025, held on 5–6 November at Aarhus University (Denmark). The event was promoted by the Soil Mission, organised by the Danish Ministry of Green Transition, Aarhus University, and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, under the auspices of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Representing the project were Cristina Carlos, Project Coordinator; Leonor Pereira, Leader of the Luso-Galician Living Lab; and Józef Chojnicki, Leader of the Grójec Living Lab. Their participation highlighted LivingSoiLL’s active engagement with the EU Mission A Soil Deal for Europe and with continuous and collaborative learning about best practices.

During the gathering, the Grojec Living Lab was officially recognized under the Living Labs Ceremony recognition and  the five living Labs of LivingSoiLL were disseminated through the SOILL startup catalogue available at a stand of the event.

For Cristina Carlos, LivingSoiLL’s project coordinator, “European Mission Soil Week presented a unique opportunity to learn more about the activities developed by all projects approved under the Soil Mission, including interactions with our Sibling projects, identifying synergies and establishing strategies for future collaborations. Through its sessions, exhibition stands, and networking opportunities, this event fostered collaboration, scaled innovation, and advanced the implementation of the Mission Soil across Europe.”

The event focused on “Leading the transition towards healthy soils: finance and landscape perspectives” and once again brought together a wide range of stakeholders to share knowledge and for sustainable soil management.
