European Mission Soil Week 2024

We are excited to announce that LivingSoiLL will be participating in the second edition of the European Mission Soil Week, taking place on November 12-13, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium. This important event, organized under the Horizon Europe Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ (Mission Soil), brings together a diverse community committed to soil health and sustainable land management.

The European Mission Soil Week is a major gathering on the EU agenda, reflecting the significance of soil health in achieving broader objectives such as climate neutrality, combating land degradation, and reversing biodiversity loss. As part of the European Green Deal and other key policies, soil health is recognized as essential to the future of sustainable development.
This annual event convenes stakeholders from across the soil ecosystem, including researchers, policymakers, farmers, foresters, spatial planners, landowners, businesses, and the general public. The aim is to discuss pressing challenges, explore new opportunities, and develop actionable solutions to protect and restore Europe’s soils.

LivingSoiLL mission aligns with the objectives of the Soil Week, and we look forward to engaging with fellow participants to share our insights and initiatives in sustainable soil management. Together, we will contribute to shaping policies and practices that prioritize soil health, ensuring a resilient future for agriculture and ecosystems.

We invite our community and all interested stakeholders to participate in the European Mission Soil Week, either in person or via livestream. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of soil health in Europe.
